Privacy policy

yourbrowser.app is built around a simple idea: your files and personal data should stay on your device whenever possible. This page explains what runs locally, what may leave your browser, and how we measure usage.

What runs locally

Image conversion — including format changes (JPG, PNG, WebP), resizing, batch processing, and ZIP downloads — happens entirely in your browser. The same is true of the PDF tools: creating a PDF from images, merging, splitting, and compressing all run on your device. Your files never leave your device to our servers. We do not store, log, or have access to the files you convert.

Most browser facts shown on the site (user agent, screen size, timezone, language, connection type) are read from APIs built into your browser and displayed on the page without being sent to us.

What may leave your browser

Public IP, location, and ISP: To show your public IP address, approximate location, and internet provider, the page makes requests from your browser directly to ipinfo.io. That service sees your IP address and returns geo estimates. If ipinfo.io is unavailable, we may fall back to api.ipify.org for the IP address, then to ipinfo.io (by IP) or ipwho.is for location and ISP. We do not receive or store this on our servers.

Local / private IP: We attempt to detect your local network address using WebRTC in your browser. This does not involve our servers.

Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics (G-MVF6BMGRZP) to collect anonymous usage statistics — such as page views and button clicks. Google may set cookies and process data according to their own privacy policy. We use this to understand which tools are useful, not to identify individual users.

Google AdSense: This site is funded by ads served through Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-6757239063790876). The AdSense script loads on all pages and runs in your browser. To select and measure ads, Google and its partners may collect data such as your IP address, device and browser information, and pages you view on this site, and may set or read cookies and similar identifiers. The files you convert are never part of this — image and PDF processing stays on your device and is never sent to Google or to us.

Advertising

Ads keep these tools free to use. Google and its ad partners may use cookies to personalise ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can review and change what Google collects for advertising at My Ad Center and Google Ads Settings, and read Google's own terms at How Google uses information from sites that use our services. Blocking third-party cookies or using a content blocker also stops this — the tools on this site keep working either way.

Cookies

We do not set our own cookies. Cookies and similar storage on this site come from third parties: Google Analytics for anonymous usage statistics, and Google AdSense for ad delivery and measurement. You can block them via your browser settings or a content blocker without breaking any tool on the site.
